About

Welcome!
I offer book editing and content writing services.
I live in beautiful Calgary, Alberta—home of the Calgary Stampede and epic mountain views.  In my free time, I enjoy yoga, music, and time with family and friends.  The lake is my happy place.

I love being an editor.  Talking with clients about the editing stages and the methodical way I comb through a manuscript is sincerely fun for me.  I’m very much a “people person”, and I have all the personal qualities you want in an editor—I’m  meticulous, organized, and I always get projects done on time.
Prior to joining the editing world, I was a middle-school teacher for 15 years in Gibbons, Alberta and a Vice Principal for the last six months of that stretch.  My years in education made me a multi-tasking, prioritizing, communication queen!

I also lived Down Under in 2012 (in a little place called Esperance, Western Australia, if you’re keen to check the map) while on teacher exchange.  My experiences have made me the professional I am today, and I’m so happy that I can use my expertise to help people with their writing projects.

My Values

Professionalism
From the beginning to end of a project, all of my communications with you are respectful with the goal of better understanding what you’re looking for in a final product.
Reliability
I strive for zero mechanical errors, and I deliver the finished product on time (and on budget).
Consistency
With me, you can expect the same enthusiastic, reliable editor every time.  I would love to be your go-to editor and content writer!

Education/Professional Experience

I attended Grant MacEwan College for two years, and then transferred to the University of Alberta for the remaining two years of my Bachelor of Education Degree.

Then I spent a year substitute teaching in Edmonton and the surrounding rural area.

The following year, I moved to Fort Chipewyan—a beautiful, fly-in fly-out community in Northern Alberta—to teach grade 4.

In 2006, I began teaching at Gibbons School, Alberta. I taught there for almost 15 years, finishing my tenure with six months as Vice-Principal.

I completed my Editing Certificate through Simon Fraser University in August, 2022 while starting my book editing business.
